THANK-YOU
FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Dear Voter,
I feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment to have served as a member of Langford Council for the past 18 years. During that time, As Chair of Parks, Recreation, Cultural and Beautification, I have taken a leadership role, transforming Langford into the beautiful vibrant city it is today. I have worked very hard to expand and improve our trails, parks, recreation facilities, as well as green space and beautification initiatives to enhance the natural beauty of our surroundings.
The quality of life for the families of Langford will continue to be my top priority. I am committed to continue to work to keep Langford vibrant, safe and affordable and provide a variety of opportunities for our people to keep them healthy, active and successful.
My focus is to keep taxes low and money in the pockets of people so they can spend it in our community. This will keep our economy vibrant, and encourage businesses to provide more jobs, especially for our young people entering the work force.
I am retired, after serving 41 years with the Canadian Coast Guard, and my grandchildren are the fourth generation of my family to live in Langford. Like many others, my wife Dianna and I chose to raise our family in Langford, due to the quality of life, affordability, recreation and the amenities that we all enjoy.
I know the issues of Langford inside and out, and have the insight and ability to resolve complex situations to keep Langford moving forward as a strong, vibrant community.
With your support on November 15, I will use my experience; knowledge and ability to continue to work on your behalf to get the job done.

MANY YEARS ON COUNCIL
Lanny has been on Langford Council since 1996. During that time, Lanny has taken a leadership role, transforming Langford into the beautiful vibrant city it is today. Lanny takes great pride in the expansion and improvement to our trails, parks, recreation facilities, and beautification initiatives that enhance the natural beauty of our surroundings.
Lanny wants to continue to move Langford forward as a strong active community under the leadership of Mayor Stew Young. “We've done what people wanted us to do,” he says, and feels that is important to have an experienced team ,” to get on with the new initiatives the people of Langford have identified as a priority.”
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Lanny’s focus is to keep taxes low and money in the pockets of people, so that they can spend it locally in our community. This will keep our economy vibrant, supports local businesses, and encourages the creation of more jobs, especially for our young people.
PARKS & RECREATION
Lanny is adamant that when increases and upgrades are made to our infrastructure in Langford, there must be new parks created or upgrades must be made to existing parks. Also, when developing areas of land for housing or industrial expansion, care for the environment is a priority for Lanny. Examples are the aerator in Langford Lake and the mandatory policy to plant two trees for every one removed.
“Lanny Seaton is a wonderful and compassionate person that I have personally known for many years. He has a heart of gold. Moreover, Lanny puts in endless hours with an emphasis towards parks and recreation and his actions speak louder than words. He is a friend of all families when it comes to his tireless efforts to ensure that we have facilities to use and that no player is left out due to unfortunate circumstances.”
